Blake Walmsley

Blake leads the Physiotherapy Sports coverage department at North Curl Curl Physio. Having grown up in the local area, Blake has been actively involved in various sports and there isn't much he has not seen happen on the sporting field. He now uses this experience to organize and mentor other up and coming Physiotherapists whilst still offering his own services to the local sporting community.

Blake has been working at North Curl Curl Physiotherapy since 2015 but has been involved with local sport through NCCP since 2014 working with the Manly-Warringah AFL team prior to completing his Masters of Physiotherapy. He currently leads the physiotherapy service for our local club working with Curl Curl Youth Soccer.

Blake has been heavily involved in the Freshie Surf Lifesaving Club since he was seven - as a Nipper, and right through the ranks to today where he has combined eight years of surfboat rowing and NSW & Australian SLSA competition. He continues to advise the Club on their physiotherapy needs throughout the competitive season.

Blake has post graduate training in Spinal Physiotherapy through the APA and has an keen interest on the management of low back pain, particularly following close involvement as a referrer to Neuroscience Research Australia (NeuRA) trials based at UNSW.

When he has free time, Blake enjoys the local free-diving and snorkeling spoils on offer around Freshie and North Curly and is happy to provide tips and locations to his patients to ensure their have every opportunity to get on board and get active in the local area.
